Arsenal’s board pushed by COACH to buy the £47 million former Premier League MIDFIELDER

Ruben Neves, an Al-Hilal midfielder, is reportedly being pushed by Mikel Arteta to be signed by Arsenal.

In response to Thomas Partey’s injury, which will keep him out of the game until at least the beginning of next year after surgery, the Gunners are anticipated to strengthen their midfield options during the January transfer window.

Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa is on Arsenal’s shortlist; nevertheless, the Brazilian midfielder will be tough to recruit since Villa is not prepared to let him go, and he signed a new deal last year that ties him to the team until 2026.

Sport claims that Arteta personally wants Neves, and the manager of Arsenal has spoken with the board about bringing in the Portugal international during the January transfer window.

Neves spent six seasons at Wolves after signing a £15.8 million contract in 2017 before leaving in the summer.

Neves said, “I want to be here, but I never hide that I want to play Champions League football.”

It’s a difficult choice. I like this place, and so does my family, but in football, you have to focus on your major objectives.
