Fabrizio Romano is making a killing with his Chelsea work in this window.
There have been so many players heading out – and so many rumored to be coming in – that a day doesn’t pass where he’s not breaking Chelsea news.
One reported deal that burst out of nowhere and then faded into nowhere was that for Angelo Gabriel, and that’s what was on Romano’s mind tonight.
He claims that despite everything having gone quiet in terms of our move for the Brazilian youth talent, things are progressing.
“I think Angelo Gabriel is going to be a Chelsea player and announced very soon, all the documents are signed so it’s just a matter of an announcement,” he Tweeted.
So it sounds like it’s just a matter of time. What’s less clear is what the plan is for Gabriel. Is he going to be a first team option, or is he going to be loaned out? We’ve heard both versions, at times. He looks like a Strasbourg level option for now, but then again our first team is really being stripped bare.
