Oh oh: Chelsea FC released 23/24 home kit without shirt sponsor

Chelsea have released a home kit for the 2023/24 season.

The kit is predominately blue, with dark-blue detailings and white underarms and a white sleeve outline. An interesting detail is a shimmering metal club crest.

A panel inside the shirt reads ‘Pride of London’.

Note that the kit features no sponsor logo. This is because Chelsea have not reached an agreement with anyone but by the time the kit goes on sale, the logo of a sponsor will likely be added.

Chelsea claim the design is a nod to the 1997/98 kit: “[the new kit] a classic design with white added to the blue, the glory of ‘97/’98 is celebrated in style”.

The kit will go on sale on August 16 in the club’s megastore at Stamford Bridge. It will be available in Nike stores from August 23.
