Man Utd now agree five-year contract to sign £51.3million star.
Manchester United are getting closer and closer to completing the signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
As per today’s version of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), the Red Devils are ‘betting straight’ for the Cameroonian shot-stopper.
The Old Trafford outfit submitted their second offer worth 50 million euros and the player also posted a cryptic goodbye message on social media stating:
“Every life has a story and every story has an end. Never make fun of anyone.”
The Rome-based news source has mentioned that Man Utd has now agreed to a ‘five-year contract’ with Onana, who is prepared to leave the Nerazzurri.
On the other hand, it is reported that Inter is also ready to replace him by signing Anatoliy Trubin. The Ukrainian is valued at 10 million euros by the Serie A giants but Shakhtar is trying to raise the price.
CDS claim that United’s latest offer has brought the parties closer to an agreement as the Italians have been asking for a fee of £ 51.3 million (60 million euros).
Onana featured in every single Champions League game for Inter Milan last season and kept eight clean sheets, the highest in the competition, in thirteen appearances.
Erik ten Hag needs a goalkeeper who is good with his feet and in such a scenario, the 27-year-old could prove to be a much better option than Old Trafford legend, David De Gea.
The Spanish international won the PL Golden Glove award last season but it seems likely that he’ll leave the club on a Bosman this summer.
