Guardiola is to blame for Germany’s decline in football – Schweinsteiger.

Former Germany midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger has blamed Pep Guardiola for the national team’s decline.

Speaking with talkSPORT, Schweinsteiger claimed they lost their values because of the Manchester City manager.

“When Pep Guardiola joined Bayern Munich, when he came to the country, everyone believed we have to play this kind of football, like short passes and everything.

“We were kind of losing our values,” Schweinsteiger said.

Schweinsteiger played under Guardiola for two seasons at Bayern Munich.

He then left the club in 2015, while Guardiola joined City in 2016.
