Liverpool makes the second move to sign a player who was thought to be untouchable, Henderson loves him.
Liverpool has reportedly made a second inquiry to sign Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, with the center-back emerging as a top target for the Reds.
According to Football London, Liverpool has approached the Blues yet again over the England youth international as Liverpool looks to ramp up their efforts on signing a left-sided center-back, with Colwill seemingly the main player Jurgen Klopp is looking at signing.
A player who is rated highly by Jordan Henderson, Chelsea is eager to keep hold of Colwill this summer, with Fabrizio Romano recently reporting that the west London side views the center-back as ‘untouchable’ as contract talks continue to take place between parties.
Whilst Chelsea’s stance is as clear as day on their star prospect, that doesn’t mean a move for Colwill is necessarily impossible this summer. And Liverpool are fully aware that they have the power to tempt the defender away from Stamford Bridge.
Indeed, there’s a strong chance that Liverpool will give Colwill more playing time next season with the Reds competing in the UEFA Europa League, with Chelsea’s record of playing young players one of the most dismal in recent years.
