On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur will host Arsenal for the 193rd North London derby.

Earlier in the season, the Gunners defeated Antonio Conte’s sluggish squad 3-1, but the Lilywhites typically dominate North London derbies at home.

While mourning the death of his former Juventus teammate and Italy icon Gianluca Vialli, Antonio Conte witnessed Tottenham struggle in their FA Cup victory over League One Portsmouth.

Three days after scoring four unanswered goals against the Eagles on the road, Tottenham relied on a sweetly-struck Harry Kane goal to defeat a tenacious and determined Portsmouth side, setting up a trip to Preston North End in the fourth round.

Conte’s top priority will be to end Spurs’ 15-year trophy drought, but he faces an uphill battle to lead Spurs to consecutive Champions League seasons. Spurs are fifth in the table with 33 points from 54 games, two points behind Manchester United having played one more game.

Tottenham have conceded at least two goals in three of their last four Premier League home games, including a 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace.

The Whites’ victory at Selhurst Park ended a seven-game run without a clean sheet in the league, and they haven’t failed to score against Arsenal in the top division since November 2017, but they will not fear the short trip to unfriendly territory.
