EPL: A big problem for Arsenal in title race is Man Utd – Rio Ferdinand

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said the current team “is a problem for Arsenal”.

The two sides will clash at the Emirates next week in what will be a top-of-the-table fixture.

On Saturday, United came from a goal behind to beat champions Manchester City 2-1 at Old Trafford.

The win takes Erik ten Hag’s men within one point of City and six behind leaders Arsenal.

United are the only team that has defeated Arsenal this season, having won 3-1 at Old Trafford back in September.

Ferdinand is hopeful United can produce a similar result in north London.

He told Vibe with Five: “I just think the way Manchester United play, we’re a problem for Arsenal. Today we were a problem for Man City too.

“I think Arsenal will have most of the ball but in the transitions, United are so dangerous. Even under Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] that was the case.

“But even more so now because we’re more structured and harder to break down. Man City didn’t have that many chances.”
