Current EPL Table After Man United Beat Man City 2-1 to Leapfrog Newcastle United.

The English Premier League kicked off again this weekend with numerous interesting games. This weekend was all about derby games, with Manchester United hosting their bitter rivals and neighbors Manchester City at Old Trafford.

The Citizens ventured into the game to close the gap on Arsenal who happens to be the current league leader. Manchester United on the other hand kicked off the game with the hope of maintaining and boosting their top four hope.

United kicked off the game with high momentum and composure as they looked to avoid what happened the last time at the Etihad Stadium. Despite Manchester City’s dominance in the game, United created several chances in the first half that should have given them at least two goals lead.

The second half started and Manchester City did what they were known for, with Jack Grealish opening the scoring just a few minutes after his introduction.

The Englishman converted Kevin De Bruyne’s cross into the back of the net. United equalized the game and a few minutes after the equalizer, Rashford scored United’s winning goal.
