When Charlton Athletic comes to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Tuesday night, a spot in the EFL Cup semi-finals is at stake.

The Red Devils beat Everton 3-1 on Friday night to move on to the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Addicks beat Lincoln City 2-1 in the third tier last time out.

Everton center-back Conor Coady went from hero to zero in an hour on Friday night as Manchester United beat the Toffees and moved on to the next round of the FA Cup.

Antony scored the first goal quickly, but David de Gea made a mistake that let Coady tie the game with just 14 minutes left. However, the England international put the ball into his own net after the break, before Marcus Rashford’s penalty deep in extra time.

Man United are still fighting for success on four fronts this season, and a VAR review saved them from a chested goal by Dominic Calvert-Lewin that was offside. They have already beaten Aston Villa and Burnley to get to the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup.
