Arsenal will try not to lose in the third round of the FA Cup again like they did last year when they went to Oxford United.
In the third round of the FA Cup, Arsenal will go to Kassam Stadium to play League One team Oxford United.
This is the first time these two teams have met since the same stage of the tournament in 2002-03, when the Gunners beat them 2-0. The rest of that season, they went on to win the FA Cup.
Arsenal has been the best team in England this season, so they are the heavy favorites to win this match. The fact that Arteta and his team’s opponents haven’t been playing well as of late also makes this match very one-sided in their favor. Oxford United has only won one of the last five games they have played, in all competitions.
Arsenal will hope to avoid a repeat of last season’s embarrassing third round exit at the hands of Nottingham Forest, although history is witness to the fact that the Gunners haven’t lost an FA Cup tie against a side outside the top-two leagues in 30 years.
