Check out the slo-mo of Rashford dribble and kick that caused own goal from Everton.
Marcus Rashford thinks he is playing better than ever after helping Manchester United beat Everton 3-1 in the FA Cup.
WHAT TOOK PLACE? Rashford was the highlight of United’s Friday win over Everton at Old Trafford. He set up the first goal, made Conor Coady score an own goal, and then won the game with a penalty kick. In his last five games for the Red Devils, he has scored each time.
WHAT THEY SAID: “In terms of performances, it’s probably the best I’ve ever been, so I feel good on the pitch,” he told ITV. “I’m putting myself in places where I can score goals. I think I’ll keep scoring as long as I keep making chances.”
BIG PICTURE: With this win, Erik ten Hag’s team has won seven games in a row and moved on to the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Red Devils still have a chance to win the Carabao Cup and the Europa League, and Rashford hopes they can bring home some hardware this season “This is the goal and the reason why we do what we do and work so hard. We want to play in the finals and the most important games. In the end, we want to win a trophy and some silverware. We hope to be able to do that this season.”
