When Premier League team Everton comes to Old Trafford on Friday night, Manchester United will try to move on to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Red Devils are coming into the game after beating Bournemouth 3-0 in the Premier League on Tuesday. On the same night, Everton lost 4-1 to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Man United beat Bournemouth 3-0 on Tuesday night to make it six wins in a row in all competitions. Casemiro, Luke Shaw, and Marcus Rashford scored for the Red Devils, giving them a stronger hold on a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag’s team is currently fourth in the table, five points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and level on points with third-placed Newcastle United, who have played one more game. Man United are also now just one point behind second-placed Manchester City in England’s top flight.

The Red Devils have only lost once in all competitions since the beginning of October. Since coming back from the World Cup, they have won all four games they have played, scoring nine goals and keeping four clean sheets.

Ten Hag’s team will play Charlton Athletic at Old Trafford in the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night. On January 14, they will play Man City in the league, and then they will travel to Arsenal. This month will be important for the club’s season goals.

Middlesbrough knocked Man United out of the FA Cup in the fourth round last year, but they are the second-most successful team in the competition’s history, having won the trophy 12 times.

The last time the Red Devils won the FA Cup was in 2016, but it looks like Ten Hag will take every competition seriously this season as the Dutchman tries to win a trophy in his first year as manager.
