The reason why Andrey Santos is heavily linked with Chelsea FC

After making a deal with Molde for David Datro Fofana, Chelsea is getting close to making their second transfer of the January transfer window. Even though the winter window doesn’t open for another ten days, it looks like Andrey Santos will be another player for Todd Boehly and Graham Potter to sign in January.
Last month, the French website Le10 Sport reported that Chelsea was about to agree to a £15 million deal for Santos. The Blues were said to be moving quickly to sign Santos before other teams showed interest.
But that plan was put on hold when Real Madrid and Premier League teams Manchester City and Newcastle United showed interest in the player.
A number of clubs were interested in Santos, but it looks like Chelsea has been able to keep them at bay and is close to making a deal for him. Lucas Pedrosa said that the proposal was made official after the World Cup.
