Gonçalo Ramos has been on Man United list of players they wanna sign during January transfer window.
After Goncalo Ramos’ jaw-dropping World Cup performance against Switzerland, many are suggesting that Liverpool made a tremendous mistake by passing up the opportunity to sign the Portugal star.
Ramos made a splash when he took Cristiano Ronaldo’s place in Portugal’s starting XI for their World Cup round of 16 match against Switzerland. Up until last month, Ramos had never played for his country in international football.
As Fernando Santos’ team destroyed Switzerland 6-1, the 21-year-old went on to establish himself as Portugal’s present and future. He scored a hat-trick and claimed an assist.
Ramos did this to become the first player under the age of 20 to score a hat-trick at a World Cup since Florian Albert of Hungary in 1962.
