On social media, a video showing Messi escaping the interview in the mixed zone quickly gained popularity.
The normally polite Argentina captain became agitated at a Dutch camp member because he was preoccupied by an event in the tunnel.
Messi yelled something at Weghorst.
Since then, it has come to light that Messi hurled “some unpleasant comments” at Dutch striker Weghorst, according to Marca.

Weghorst, the Burnley striker who is currently on loan at Besiktas, stunned Argentina with two late goals at the end of normal time.

Footage captured from inside the tunnel of the Lusail Iconic Stadium shows Weghorst remonstrating with several Argentina players including retired striker Sergio Aguero, who was at the game to support his compatriots.
Lautaro Martinez and Lisandro Martinez were also present.
Messi can be seen in the background of the clip from the position he conducted his post-match interview.
