“Gabriel Jesus after the [Cameroon] game complained of pain in his right knee, and after clinical assessment, we have asked for an imaging exam tomorrow,” Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar told reporters.
The 25-year-old forward from Arsenal started the World Cup match against Cameroon, but was unable to stop Brazil’s 1-0 defeat.
The extent of the knee strain is not yet clear, but after additional tests are completed, we will know more.
Jesus has only scored five goals in 14 Premier League games for the Gunners since joining the team, and he has yet to score for Brazil.
