Arsenal’s non-World Cup stars returned to London Colney on Monday ahead of friendlies against Watford, AC Milan, Lyon, and Juventus.
Arsenal’s non-international players have started preparing for the Premier League. Arsenal play West Ham United on Christmas Day and four winter friendlies before title defense.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, and Rob Holding returned from vacation, but others were absent. Some players have opted to return early, according to football.london.
Football players had 10 days off.
Some waived the full period to return sooner, according to London. Martin Odegaard, Fabio Vieira, and Kieran Tierney haven’t returned.
Watford, Lyon, AC Milan, and Juventus await Arsenal’s Premier League return. After Sunday’s friendly, the club will fly to Dubai. The December 17 friendly against Juventus, the day before the World Cup final, could be the first time players return to Arsenal.
The behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford will take place the week of November 28. A date has not yet been set, according to football.london.
