How the FIFA World Cup is most likely a blessing in disguise for Arsenal to win the Premier League ahead of Manchester City

Arsenal FC is currently in first place in the Premier League table. If they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, they will stay in first place until the league starts back up again on December 26, 2022. People would remember that all European leagues would stop because the 2022 FIFA World Cup would be held in Qatar.

During the World Cup, some players would play for their country. Taking a close look at the chances of each national team in the FIFA World Cup, it might be better for the Gunners to win the league in May 2022 than for Manchester City to win it.

First of all, it’s too early to say which national team will win the competition, but some are more likely to win than others. Some of the favorites are Brazil, France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands, Argentina, and Portugal. So, the early elimination of some national teams that Gunners players will play for will give them enough time to rest before the Premier League starts up again on December 26, 2022.

Also, almost all of Manchester City’s players have been called up by their national team coaches to play for their countries in the upcoming FIFA World Cup. This is in contrast to Arsenal FC, whose players have been called up by their national team coaches less often. There is no doubt that the Manchester City players who will play for their countries in the competition will be tired. Arsenal has set up friendly games for its players who won’t be going to the World Cup to keep them in shape during the tournament.

Lastly, Manchester City players are more likely to play for their national team than Arsenal FC players are. Most Arsenal FC players might not make the first eleven for their teams, which gives them a better chance to rest than Manchester City players who might be in the first eleven for their national teams.
