A tough test at Stamford Bridge awaits Mikel Arteta and his team this Sunday in the Premier League. The Gunners will take on their London rivals Chelsea in a must-win game for both teams. Arsenal are currently on a better form than Chelsea and are the league leaders but that shouldn’t distract anyone from the fact that this game is still a very difficult one for the Gunners. Chelsea are not where they want to be at the moment and are clearly in a transitional period with Graham Potter in charge but they still pack a punch on their day (ask AC Milan).
For the game at Stamford Bridge, Mikel Arteta is expected to make some changes to the team that beat FC Zurich last night. The likes of Lokonga, Nelson, Nketiah, Holding and Elneny all started last night’s Europa League game and they could all be dropped against Chelsea. Odegaard, Zinchenko who returned from injury recently, Saka, Martinelli, Partey and Saliba could all be recalled. It will be interesting to see which formation Mikel Arteta opts for against Chelsea but below is our full expected lineup…
GK: Aaron Ramsdale.
Defenders: Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, White.
Midfielders: Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard.
Forwards: Gabriel Jesus, Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
