ARS 3-2 LIV: 3 Best And 3 Worst Players From The Game As Bukayo Saka Score A Brace To Down Liverpool

Worst Players.

1. Trent Alexander Arnold.

A very poor performance from the Liverpool fullback in today’s game. He was directly at fault for the first Arsenal goal of the game and could’ve done better leading up to the second. He was taken off by Jurgen Klopp at halftime and a more defensive minded Gomez was brought on.

2. J. Matip.

He had a tough time against Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli at the Emirates. Due to Trent’s poor positioning and awareness, Matip had a lot on his plate than he was able to handle. He also went off midway through the second half.

3. Thiago Alcantara.

Another Liverpool player who struggled today. His battle with Partey in midfield was one-sided though his ability on the ball stood out.

Best Players.

1. B. Saka.

He scored 2 goals against Liverpool at the Emirates. The first one was a well timed run to the back post and the second one was from the penalty spot. Good showing from him today.

2. Gabriel Martinelli.

He was simply electric against Liverpool! Hands down the best player in the game and he scored the first goal of game as well. His direct style of play caused Liverpool so much problems in defence.

3. Firmino.

He came on to score against Arsenal, his favourite team in the Premier League. It was a well timed run and finish past Ramsdale and his introduction also breath life into the Liverpool attack.
