Denis Zakaria hasn’t played for Chelsea yet. Chelsea’s Champions League games against Dinamo Zagreb and RB Salzburg were postponed, preventing the Juventus loanee from making his Premier League debut.
It remains to be seen how much Zakaria plays under new Chelsea boss Graham Potter. Thomas Tuchel was a big reason why Zakaria joined Chelsea, but he was fired days after he arrived.
The 25-year-old will be one of many Chelsea players hoping to impress Potter in training. The midfielder believes the Premier League’s style will suit his game, whereas his role at Juventus limited his influence. Zakaria told Potter how to improve as a player.
“It’s hard to say what went wrong (at Juventus), maybe the style wasn’t for me,” Zakaria told Blick.
“The team sat deep, leaving me little room. I need space to run. In England, it might work.”
