Graham Potter has been hired as the new head coach of Chelsea, and he will already have a lot to do.
Matt Law says that Todd Boehly plans to have Potter help him choose a sporting director for the club.
He wants the job to be filled before the World Cup so that he has time to get ready for the transfer window in January.
This summer, Boehly took on the role of interim sporting director, but he plans to leave once the club has found the best person for the job.
Kyle Macaulay was Potter’s person in charge of finding new players at Brighton, and he has now followed him to Chelsea. He is supposed to help Potter find a sporting director.
