Remember Aleksandr Golovin? In his later years, Abramovich wanted to sign the Russian attacking midfielder who became famous at the 2018 World Cup. However, AS Monaco beat West London to his signature.
Now that Golovin has spoken out about the Zakharyan-to-Chelsea rumors, he has told his Russian teammate what to do if/when Zakharyan moves to the Premier League, which is expected to happen in January 2023. “I’m sorry he couldn’t leave now, but if he gets a chance in the future, he should try, even if they loan him to another club,” he told the Russian news outlet Sport Express.
“Chelsea has a lot of good attackers, so it won’t be easy for him to play right away. At his age, though, he needs to play, so he should at least try.”
