What Erik ten Hag said about Man United facing Arsenal this weekend

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has praised Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s progress before their Premier League match this weekend.

The Gunners haven’t lost a point in the Premier League yet this season. In their first five games, they beat Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Aston Villa.

Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Fabio Vieira, who are all new to Arsenal, have also done very well.

Ten Hag says that Arsenal is a “tough opponent” and that Sunday’s game in Manchester will be a “good test” for his United team, which is still getting better.

On the other hand, after losing their first two games to lowly Brentford and Brighton, United beat Liverpool, Southampton, and Leicester City to get back on track.

At the moment, they are fifth in the Premier League, while Arsenal still holds the number one spot.

Ten Hag said this about the game against Arsenal: “I have seen Arsenal, and they are a tough opponent.

“They’re off to a great start this season, and it’s clear that this is a team that’s been together for a while and has a coach who brings his ideas to the team.

So, it’s a good test for us, and I’m looking forward to it. We will start with the right XI. But as you can see, we have more than just a team.

“The players who came on as substitutes against Leicester did a great job. I’m pleased with that, and that’s what we need to build on.”
