Ray Parlour, a former player for Arsenal, has said why their late bid for Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Aston Villa, failed.
Even though they tried three times on the last day of the transfer window, the Gunners were not able to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The last offer from the Gunners was worth £25 million, but Villa did not want to do business with them.
On talkSPORT this morning, Parlour talked about the news and said that it was because Arsenal couldn’t pay £30m to £35m.
“Sometimes you just can’t reach an agreement! Maybe £30 or £35 million for Douglas Luiz?
“That was too far for Arsenal! “Villa will try to get rid of him in January,” he said.
