Arsenal will be without Mohamed Elneny for a long time, and midfielder Thomas Partey will be out for a few weeks.
Partey hurt his thigh while training recently, and Elneny hurt his hamstring during the 2-1 win over Fulham last weekend.
Arsenal is still figuring out how long both of them will be out, but it is becoming clearer.
Manager Mikel Arteta said, “With Mo, it’s probably a little bit easier, and we’re talking about months.” “With Thomas, I hope we’re talking about a few weeks or even less than that.”
Since he joined Arsenal in 2020, Partey has been hurt a lot and has had trouble staying in shape.
His latest problem with his thigh is similar to the one that kept him out of action for the last two months of last season, and Arteta says it’s frustrating for everyone.
Arteta said, “We have tried to deal with him.” “Obviously, a lot has happened since he joined, and we’re doing our best to figure out why.
“But the body and mind are sometimes too hard to understand and point to a single thing in order to try to stop something from happening.
“The player’s attitude and willingness are there. He’s really upset again, as you might guess, and the team needs him. We need him to come back.”
