Antony has made the move from Ajax to Manchester United. He signed a contract that lasts until 2027 and gives him the option of staying one more year.

Antony said:

“Joining one of the most famous clubs in the world is an amazing moment in my career. I’m grateful to everyone who has believed in me, especially my family, coaches, and teammates, because without them I could not have made it this far.

“Playing for Ajax under Erik ten Hag was great for me and my growth. His way of playing and coaching football brings out the best in me, and what he has told me about his plans and goals in Manchester has me excited.

“My time at Ajax was great, and I’ll always be grateful for the trust they put in me. But now I’m ready for the next challenge, and I can’t wait to join my new teammates and do my part to make Manchester United successful.”

John Murtough, who is in charge of football at Manchester United, said:

“Antony is one of the most exciting young football players in Europe, and his style fits perfectly with the fast-paced, attacking team Erik is putting together.

“We were especially impressed by his desire to join Manchester United and be part of a long-term plan to get the club back to the level of performance we all expect.”
