Arsenal showed once again how tough they are when they gave up a goal. Aston Villa scored right off a corner kick, even though the Gunners were clearly the better team.

It was a game that forced Arsenal to keep trying to score even though they were having trouble, and then the equalizer made things even worse. Just a few minutes after Douglas Luiz’s crazy goal, Gabriel Martinelli scored.

There were, however, a lot of interesting things going on inside the stadium that could have been missed. Here, Epl247.co.uk looks back at some parts of the game that you might have missed.

When Saka gets mad, the Arsenal fans cheer.

Tyrone Mings threw Bukayo Saka to the ground in the first half, but the calls for a penalty were turned down after a quick VAR check. When the England international fell, there was so much noise in the stadium that it was hard to hear.

It was clear right away that the crowd and the players were connected. Even though it had been days since the last game, there was a lot of talk about this Arsenal team and support from the crowd even before the referee blew the whistle to start the game.

Even after the decision was overturned, Saka was still chasing after the officials furiously. Being on penalty duty, the 20-year-old would have been desperate to get the call and score his first goal of the season to give him a much-needed boost.

Mikel Arteta’s sad response to the big miss

15 minutes later, Gabriel Martinelli’s cross went past Emi Martinez and right to Saka, who was all alone in front of an open goal. This made Saka’s night even worse. But when he tried to connect with his weaker foot, he missed, and the ball went high, wide, and not very well.

Mikel Arteta’s hands went straight to his head when his star player, who was in desperate need of some luck, failed to score again. He will know that Arsenal will need Bukayo Saka to be at his best if they want to get back into the Champions League.

Ramsdale’s response to the horror show by Martinez

Arsenal broke the tie in the first half when their old goalkeeper, Emi Martinez, made a terrible mistake. Gabriel Martinelli’s cross was deflected, and the Argentine goalkeeper couldn’t catch it. Instead, he pushed the ball into the path of Gabriel Jesus.

His shot was rushed, but the keeper should have been able to stop it. He wasn’t, though. At the other end, Aaron Ramsdale’s team took the lead, and he celebrated by punching the air and running over to his manager to celebrate.

When he got to Arsenal, Ramsdale was asked a lot of questions. After the end of the season, many fans thought that the Argentine should have been kept and given the number one shirt instead of Bernd Leno.

Based on what they did tonight, it’s safe to say that Arsenal are better off because of it. With the win, the Gunners are back on top, and they still have a perfect record.
