Transfer news from Arsenal: Leicester midfield This summer, there has been a lot of talk about Youri Tielemans moving to Arsenal.

As the days get closer, the Gunners are starting to get back to work on the transfer market. Mikel Arteta still wants to add a new midfielder and winger to his team. The Youri Tielemans saga and Edu’s efforts to strengthen the wide areas have led to a lot of changes.

Tielemans is known to football fans.

London to be in a place where he would be willing to move for free to the Emirates Stadium next summer. Even so, Arsenal would move if a rival made an offer this summer.

With only a few days left in the transfer window, it is still unclear whether or not the Gunners will try to sign the Belgian at the last minute. So, with that out of the way, football.london looks at what’s going on with the midfielder’s transfer.

Arsenal won’t demand a deal.

Football.london found out that the technical director Edu was willing to wait until the player’s contract ran out in 2023.

Earlier in the season, Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports said that Tielemans would be available for £30 million. The 25-year-current old’s deal with the Foxes will end in a year.

Agreed on personal terms

Since last summer, Arsenal has been said to be interested in signing Tielemans, so it’s not surprising that talk of a deal has picked up again this year. Jacobs says that the Gunners and the midfielder have already agreed to terms on a personal level.

He wrote on Twitter, “Tielemans wants to join Arsenal, and Edu is still in touch with his agent.” “Arsenal agreed to the deal and worked on it for a year, but they never made a formal bid.”

Tielemans ‘keen’ on Manchester United

Pete O’Rourke, a sports journalist, said that the Belgium player would not say no to a move to Man Utd.

The 25-year-old is in the last year of his contract with the Foxes, and Fabrizio Romano says that he is not interested in signing a new deal at the King Power Stadium. This could force Leicester to sell.

Even though Arsenal is said to be first in line, the player would be open to moving to Old Trafford.

Interest in Newcastle

Tielemans is getting more attention from Newcastle United. As the Magpies look to add to their midfield, the club’s sporting director, Dan Ashworth, has made his own inquiries about the Arsenal player.

Expected to move

Jacobs says that Leicester is expecting an offer for Tielemans to come in soon. Jacobs said this in a tweet: “Leicester also thinks that an offer for Youri Tielemans will come soon.

“Even though no offer has been made so far, Arsenal could still move. They now need £30 million. Tielemans wants to know what will happen with his life.

“Manchester United (MUFC) is still interested as well.”

Transfer issue

Even though Arsenal seems to be interested in Tielemans, the Leicester City midfielder has not yet been signed. David Ornstein says that the Gunners might have to sell a midfielder in order to bring in a new one.

He said about the move, “The decision-makers at the club are all in on him, but it’s more complicated than that because when you talk to people around this situation, they make it clear that Granit Xhaka or someone else in that position may need to leave first for Tielemans to come in, to make room and money.”
