Mikel Arteta’s team has almost nothing to worry about as they try to make it four wins out of four and keep up their great start to the new Premier League season.
When they play Fulham at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, Arsenal hopes to keep their perfect start to the new season going.
They are in good shape after beating Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Bournemouth in their last three games. Fulham, who won the Championship last season and are still undefeated in the league, could be tough to beat on Saturday night.
But so far, things look good for Mikel Arteta and his team, who are tied for the most goals with nine. On the other hand, only Brighton has given up fewer goals than Arsenal so far.
We look at the latest injuries in the Arsenal team, as reported by football.london, before the London derby.
Reiss Nelson
Arteta says that young winger Nelson hurt himself in training last week and will likely be out for a long time getting treatment.
The 22-year-old hasn’t played for Arsenal since last year’s game against Brentford. He is the only player Arteta’s team is missing.
Arteta said, “Everyone has been training this week, and everyone is fine except for Reiss, who has been hurt for a few weeks.”
“He felt something while training. We scanned him, and the doctor came with bad news. It’s a muscle injury, and he should be back soon, we hope. We don’t yet know how long. They need to test again.”
Fabio Vieira
Summer signing Since moving to Arsenal for £30 million from Porto, Vieira hasn’t played for the first team in a game yet, but he is now available again. The playmaker has been well taken care of since he moved to north London after hurting his foot last month and having to wear a protective boot while he healed. He did play against Swansea in an under-23s game not too long ago, and he was on the bench but not used in the win at Bournemouth last time.
He could make his long-awaited debut from the bench in this game.
