When does it happen?
The draw for the group stage of the Europa League 2022/23 will happen on Friday, August 26, 2022. It happens in Istanbul, Turkey, starting at noon BST.

How will the draw for the group stage work?
A total of 32 clubs are split into four groups of eight based on the club coefficient rankings set at the start of the season and the rules set by the Club Competitions Committee.
Twelve of the teams in the group stage got there automatically. The other teams are the playoffs winners for the Europa League, the UEFA Champions League, and the third qualifying round of the League path.
Before the draw, the final order of the clubs will be decided, and the complete list of teams that will be there will be known by August 25.
Are there specific rules?
No club can ever pick a player from their association. Arsenal and Manchester United, for example, could not be put in the same group.
