The Champions League draw for next season has been made, and there are some interesting games ahead for the Spanish teams in the tournament.
Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Porto, and Club Brugge are the teams in Group B.
Most likely, Los Rojiblancos will be happy with the cards they were dealt. Even though all three of their opponents have played in the Champions League before and Diego Simeone has had trouble in the past with both Leverkusen and Porto, there isn’t a big threat to the top spot in their group.
Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Internazionale, and Viktoria Plzen are all in Group C.
This season, Barcelona hopes to make more money from their European campaign, but getting there won’t be easy. Since they have to play Bayern Munich again, they will have to work hard to get to the top spot. Internazionale will also be a tough opponent in a group that makes them really fight to get into the next round.
Group F has Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtic.
The fact that Real Madrid has played Shakhtar so many times in the past few years is probably what bothers them the most. That will feel like something you know. But overall, Carlo Ancelotti’s team is a strong favourite to win the group.
Manchester City, Sevilla, Dortmund, and Copenhagen are in Group G.
Julen Lopetegui’s season has gotten off to a rough start, and the Champions League draw hasn’t helped. On paper, it looks like a straight fight for second place with Dortmund, and Sevilla’s third-place finish in their group last season doesn’t look good for a team that seems weaker so far.
