“Its a permanent deal” Arsenal delighted to confirm the signing of a forward

Lina Hurtig joins us permanently. Swedish forward, 26, joins us from Juventus.

Lina started her career with Gustafs GoIF before joining Ume IK in 2012. Lina joined Linköpings FC in 2017 and won the Damallsvenskan.

Lina moved to Serie A winners Juventus in 2020, where she won two league titles, two Italian Super Cups, and one Coppa Italia.

Since 2014, she’s won 58 caps for Sweden and scored 19 goals.

Lina is thrilled to be here. I’ve always wanted to play in England and been interested in English football, so being here is amazing. I know Arsenal has excellent players and quality, so I’ll love being here.”

Lina is a great forward who will offer force and dynamism, said Coach Jonas Eidevall. She shined in the Champions League and international events, and we’re glad she’ll play for Arsenal.

Clare Wheatley, head of women’s football, said Lina was a priority objective this summer. She fits Arsenal’s profile and will add quality and expertise.

Transfer is pending regulatory approval.
